Viewing Claims

Navigating and managing claims efficiently is crucial for healthcare providers and billing professionals. The Claims app offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to view, track, and manage claims with ease. Here’s a guide on how to access and utilize the various views and tools within the app to manage your claims.

Accessing the Claims App

  1. Navigate to the Claims App: Start by accessing the Claims app within Popularis. This is your central hub for all things related to claims management.

Claims List and Filtering

  1. Claims List: On the left side of the app, you’ll find the claims list, which displays all submissions, categorized into batches or individual claims. This list can be filtered to help you find specific claims based on your criteria.
  2. Selecting Claims: Clicking on a batch will reveal a submenu listing individual claims within that batch. Selecting a single claim will open a popup with detailed information about that specific claim.

Claim Popup Details

  1. Claim Information: The claim popup window provides a comprehensive overview of the claim, including claim status, 835 reports, and SF messages. This detailed view allows for a thorough inspection and understanding of each claim’s progress and status.

Additional Views for Claims

The Claims app offers two additional modes to view claims data, each designed to accommodate different user needs:

  • Calendar View: This view allows you to overlay claims on a calendar based on the date of service or the date sent. It offers a visual approach to managing claims by dates, making it easier to track claims according to their service or submission timelines.
  • Claims Table: For users who require advanced filtering and search capabilities, the Claims Table view provides a detailed and customizable overview of all claims. This view is particularly useful for drilling down into specific claim details or identifying trends and patterns.
  • Accessing Claim Information: Both the Calendar and Claims Table views allow for direct navigation to a selected claim’s popup. This ensures that all necessary information is readily accessible, regardless of which view you are using.

Best Practices for Managing Claims

  • Utilize Filtering: Take advantage of the filtering options to streamline the process of finding specific claims or batches, especially when working with a large volume of claims.
  • Regular Review: Consistently review claim statuses and reports to identify any issues or trends that may require attention or follow-up actions.
  • Leverage Views: Switch between the different views (Claims List, Calendar, Claims Table) based on your specific needs at the moment, whether you’re tracking claim submissions over time or conducting a deep dive into individual claim details.
