Adding Providers
Managing provider information is a critical aspect of the claims process within the Claims app. Whether adding a new provider during claim submission or managing provider details within the app's configuration, the process is designed to be straightforward and efficient. Here's how to add and manage providers within the Claims app.
Adding a Provider During Claim Submission
- During Claim Submission: When sending a claim, you'll find an option to add a provider within the "Providers" section of the claim form. This allows for the seamless integration of new provider details into the claims process.
Adding a Provider via the Claims App
For more direct management of provider information:
- Navigate to the Claims App: Access the Claims app by visiting Claims within Popularis.
- Open Configuration Dropdown: Click on the "Configuration" dropdown menu and select "Providers." This section is dedicated to the management of provider information.
- Add a New Provider: To add a provider, look for a card marked with a "+" sign and the text "Add a Provider." Clicking this card will open the "Add Provider" window.
- Enter Basic Information: In the "Add Provider" window, you'll be prompted to enter basic information about the provider. While Medicare ID, Medicaid Provider ID, and CLIA numbers are optional, they can be included for a more comprehensive provider profile.
- NPI Verification: The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is crucial for verifying a provider's identity. The NPI will be checked against the provider's first and last name, as well as the organization name. It's essential to ensure that these details are accurate according to the NPI number provided to avoid discrepancies.
Editing or Deleting Providers
- Provider Cards: Each provider has an associated card within the "Providers" section. Here, you can quickly edit or delete provider information by selecting the appropriate icon on the provider's card.
Best Practices
- Accuracy is Key: When adding or editing a provider's details, ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date, especially when it comes to NPI verification.
- Regular Updates: Periodically review and update provider information to reflect any changes in their status, contact details, or identification numbers.
